As an actor, Tay's work has been seen off-broadway, regionally, in indie shorts, and a few animation voiceovers. They have developed new works at Noor Theatre, Trinity Repertory Company, New Light Theater Project, The Tank, Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Flea, and Soho Rep. In 2024, her experimental documentary short The P Word was developed by a grant through the Brown Arts Institute, where it also premiered.
