Melissa, of Irish, German, and Dutch descent, began her acting career after moving to New York City at 21 to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Lee Strasberg Institute. She gained recognition with key roles on The Young and The Restless, first as Brittany Norman and later as Agnes Sorensen. Melissa’s career expanded as she joined Ana Strasberg’s Master Class and signed with William Morris.
