Melanie Frometa was born in Havana, Cuba. At 7 years old thanks to her family winning "El Bombo" (Visa Lottery) she came to the US leaving behind everyone, and everything she knew and loved. Finding herself in a place where no one understood her, she turned to movies and TV for comfort. She learned English by watching television and film and discovered her passion for acting.
