Maia hails from Paraguay, graduated from the prestigious Stella Adler Acting Conservatory, has a BA in Marketing and speaks English, Spanish and German. She starred in several short films, winning best actress at the Hollywood Short and Sweet Festival for her role in Paloma. She's also starred in theatrical plays with the Stella Adler Lab Theater. Her debut as a writer/producer/lead is with the feature film Original Sin which premiered at Austin Film Festival in 2018. The film is now on HBO Max.
