Macy Alexis Butler was born in Newport News, Virginia, and raised in Dallas, Texas. There, she found sweet tea, playing pixies, and horseback riding held a deep place in her heart. Real country. Through years of playing American Idol as a young girl with her Mimi, she discovered her love for performance. Followed by a trip to NYC at 15 to see Chicago, there was no doubt then of what she wanted to be: an artist, a performer, an actor.
