Laura Lincoln was born Laura Ellen Nelson on January 7, 1977. The family lived in a 100-year-old farmhouse on 21 acres in the Wakarusa river valley of rural Eastern Kansas. Laura could saddle a horse before she could tie her shoe or tell time and spent her days in the country entertaining herself by putting on different shows for her first audience of 3 dogs, 4 horses, 16 cats and one pig. Laura had a creative mind at an early age.
