Born in Birmingham, AL, I grew up interrogating my parents for answers as to why the name Kees is pronounced "case." Still working on cracking the mystery, I moved up to Chicago to study theater and film at Northwestern. Having made my way out west, I now spend my days recovering from long runs and spoiling my cat step-sons so that they love me more than their mother.
