My dad brought home dolls from the many countries he visited. They magically came to life and sang in their native languages at the World’s Fair! I fell in love with acting at 8 years old in my school production of The King and I. I wore a coat my dad brought from Japan—culturally questionable by today’s standards, but pure childhood magic. These sparks shaped my life with theater, film, and a global perspective. I’ve lived abroad, studied 5 languages, and raised 3 children alone. Acting makes my soul sing.
