Kaitlyn Newman is an actor and vocalist currently based in New Haven, CT. In her first leading role for the short film This is Me, Kaitlyn won Best Actress at the Austin After Dark Film Festival and the Austin Micro Short Film Festival. Kaitlyn holds a MA in Women's and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She has spent the last decade working as a community organizer, fundraiser, and strategist in the nonprofit sector.
