You learn a lot growing up in a big Italian family. Simple things like when Grandma tells you to eat, you eat, and don’t you dare go in the room with plastic on the couches. It also taught me to have a thick skin, to love fiercely, and that, if you want your voice heard, you need to speak up, literally and figuratively. These lessons have served me well throughout my life, in my first career in marketing, and when I chose to leave that career to pursue acting.
