Born in Detroit, Michael has been acting since he first spent a summer trading Pokémon cards at theater camp when he was 12 years old. Despite being snubbed by the Academy for his 1997 performance as "Deathly Ill Child" in '4th Grade Physical Fitness Test Day' he still finds joy in the craft, because it's not about the awards for him. It's about the work. And that was GREAT work.
