Christofer Gutekunst was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. His mother, Robin, was a diamond jeweler, and his father, Donald, is a retired shop foreman. He has German ancestry with him and his older brother, Shawn, being the second generation born in the United States. His journey began with Mr. Ray's ninth grade English class where the entire class was forced not only read plays, but memorized, delve into, and perform while being yelled enthusiastic directions.
