Carrisa Grace was born in Racine, Wisconsin, to Susanne (Zawatzke), an artist and retail manager, and Benjamin Stuckey, a musician and singer. She is of Hungarian (on her father's side) and Lithuanian (on her mother's side) descent. Grace began acting later in life by being asked to audition for a role by a director acquaintance who mistakenly thought she was an actress (she actually moved to Los Angeles to follow in her father's footsteps and pursue music.)
