Bear began her theatre career at the Santa Monica Playhouse when she was 7 years old. In high school, she traveled the nation competing for her Speech and Debate Team and performed for her drama program. She attended UCLA and minored in theatre under the tutelage of Sandra and Dee Caruso. She then graduated from Pepperdine University with her MPP and JD.
