Tryphena Wade is an artist from Columbus, Ohio holding a BFA from the renowned Howard University. She has performed for 17 years on stages throughout the U.S. and around the world, and has portrayed Queen Sarabi in Broadway's The Lion King for 10 years. In August of 2017 she self-published her first book, "The Heart Works: A Collection" and in 2019 she produced a short, spoken-world film, "Dear Carefree Black Girl", based on one of the pieces in her book. When not performing, she enjoys filling her passport!
