Tryphena Wade is an artist from Columbus, Ohio holding a BFA from the renowned Howard University. She has performed for 18+ years on stages throughout the U.S. and around the world, and has portrayed Queen Sarabi in Broadway's The Lion King for 10 years. In August of 2017 she self-published her first book, "The Heart Works: A Collection" and in 2019 she produced a short, spoken-world film, "Dear Carefree Black Girl", based on one of the pieces in her book. When not performing, she enjoys filling her passport!
