Born in Panorama City, California, Sterling fell in love with acting from the very first time he saw the movie 'Illegal Tender' staring Rick Gonzalez. In 2013 Sterling got a taste of Theatre performances being apart of the production of Phantom of the Opera which landing him roles in Rebel Without a Cause, and Les Miserable.
