Lucas was born in Richmond, Virginia and studied at Theatre VCU. He toured nationally with Virginia Repertory Theatre (formerly Theatre IV) for five years. He has performed in many theatres along the east coast. He has worked on various film and television projects which have been seen on such networks as HBO, NBC, The History Channel, the Syfy channel, PBS, Lifetime, NatGeo, Destination America, Showtime, the Travel Channel, etc. Lucas has been married to actress/singer Stacie Rearden Hall since 2009.
