Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, I wrote stories to make sense of life. At age 7, I started studying acting and performing in local productions. In a city harboring a dark and ugly history, I learned that silencing stories destroys us, while illuminating their truth heals and evolves our souls. A New Yorker for 20 years now, acting and writing allow me to authentically explore the complex human condition, so that we all may realize the greater story in which every human being has a critical role.
