Jelani Estelle was born and raised sunny in Los Angeles, CA. She is best known for her role of "Kandi" on the Netflix original series, The Vince Staples Show. Her first written short film "Differences" qualified her as a semi finalist in the John Singleton Short Film Competition, facilitated by the Pan African Film Festival (2024). She too earned her Bachelors degree in Theatre from Columbia College Chicago. As a young artist she attended thee Amazing Grace Conservatory co-founded by Wendy Raquel Robinson and
