Originally from New Orleans, Emerson J. McAlister has made New York home for him. With a BFA and MM from Carnegie Mellon and SFCM, his background, pre-transition, was in opera. Now, he's made a name for himself in the NY cabaret scene, frequently performing at 54 Below. A warm bari-tenor, he's able to balance a quick wit and humor with genuine tenderness needed for drama.
