Born Robert Shropshire, they started acting at a very early age memorizing Shakespeare in preschool while living abroad in England. Acting became a passion in elementary, middle, and high school where there was access to a sophisticated theater program in Fairfax County, Virginia. While still in high school, starred as the lead in a student film set in Philadelphia in 2006. Attended the Summer Residential Governor's school in 2007 for Vocal Music. Unionized with SAG-AFTRA in the summer of 2021.
