Gilda Mercado is a bilingual Mexican actress based in New York City. A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, her work spans classical and contemporary theatre, devised performance, and film. Highlights include Macbeth (The Curtain, NJ) opposite Jamie Ballard, As You Like It and Tis Pity She’s a Whore at Shakespeare’s Globe (RCS collaboration). On screen, she stars in Center of the Echo (NY Latino Film Festival) and Elevados with Tenoch Huerta.
