Nivi Canela is an LA-based performing artist from Union City, NJ. They played Rex in the award-winning short “Appetite,” an official selection at the Oxford, Malibu, and Twisted Alley Film Festivals. Nivi’s one-woman musical, “Daddy Issues: an open letter to my father and other recovering Dominican manwhores,” debuted at The PIT’s SOLOCOM Festival in 2019. They are an alumnus of NYU, Columbia University, Grace Theatre Workshop, and Cutler Bay Community Theatre Improv.
