Lauren is an Indigenous Xicana filmmaker (writer/director/actor/producer) originally from East Los Angeles. She has 15 years of experience acting in theater and film. Since then she has written, produced, and performed in several plays and short films. Most recently she was a co-star in NCIS Hawaii and a recent Indigenous Latinx fellow for the Netflix Sponsored Latino Film Institute Inclusion Fellowship. She also works at the Sierra Club using her talent in writing and public speaking to educate youth.
