Edward A Chambers was born in New Orleans, La. and moved to Napa, Ca. at the age of seven. After a stint in the Navy, he moved back to Louisiana and was a police officer for 24years. It was during that time he got the acting bug while working a bodyguard detail for Jackie Gleason during the filming of "The Toy" in Baton Rouge. Mr Gleason insisted that he try being an extra in the movie after filming he continued working as a police officer. After retiring, he continued to take classes and booking roles.
