Rhys lives in Los Angeles but grew up in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. He graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Having a passion for both music and acting from an early age, Rhys has performed at a number of high profile events and venues across the U.K., but has most recently been seen playing Princeton and Rod in Avenue Q in North Hollywood's ‘Cupcake Theatre’ and a new Shares.io commercial with Media Nug. Rhys is also a former member of Only Boys Aloud. (Britains Got Talent 2012 Runners Up.)
