William Charlton was born in Vicenza, Italy. An army brat, he grew up constantly moving. His teenage years were spent in Germany. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder - where he spent 3 seasons with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival - he moved to London to attend the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts(LAMDA). He spent 15 years working out of New York, before he moved to Los Angeles, where he now resides. He is a member of Ensemble Studio Theater/LA, where he also directs.
